The Hudson Tunnel Project is the most urgent passenger rail infrastructure project in the nation and one of the biggest construction projects in the country. Construction is in progress on both sides of the Hudson River.
GDC is committed to a comprehensive, proactive, and responsive community engagement program that reaches both residents in the vicinity of our construction sites and the millions of riders who will benefit from reliable, modern train service when the Hudson Tunnel Project is complete.
Community Engagement Centers
GDC is opening Community Engagement Centers (CECs) near our active construction sites. The New York CEC is open. The New Jersey CEC will open in 2026.
The CECs serve as community engagement hubs where stakeholders and members of the public can learn about the Hudson Tunnel Project and ask questions. We also partner with local schools and other organizations to host educational programming and events at the CECs.

The CECs contain interactive exhibits with information about the Hudson Tunnel Project
An interactive map lets visitors learn more about each construction project
